The "Astrum" solar car press conference held in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
As a company founded at Stanford University, we are passionate about supporting the university STEM program. The Astrum racing car will be pushed to the limit in this 3000 kilometer race. Our next generation batteries have been selected after rigorous technical evaluation, providing excellent durability and range for vehicles that reach their limits in extreme conditions
The Bridgestone World Solar Challenge is the most challenging and prestigious solar car competition in the world, requiring participating teams to design, develop, and drive solar cars along a 3000 kilometer cross Australian route from the northern city of Darwin to the southern city of Adelaide.
Amprus is proud to collaborate with several other university solar car teams participating in this year's competition, including:
The Brunel Solar Team manufactured their latest car, the Nuna 12, with a team composed of students from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.
The Innopus Solar Team and a team of students from KU Leuven in Leuven, Belgium manufactured their latest car Infinite.
Solar Team Twente, together with student teams from the University of Enshedt Winter in the Netherlands and the University of Applied Sciences in Saxon, manufactured their latest automotive RED X.
